Shower Trailer Setup Guide

Everything you need to know about preparing your site for a shower trailer delivery.

Site Preparation

  • Level surface: gravel, asphalt, or concrete. Must support the trailer weight (8,000-21,000 lbs depending on configuration).
  • Clearance: minimum 12 feet wide, 14 feet tall for delivery access. Account for trailer length (16-44 feet) plus towing vehicle.
  • Turn radius: semi-trailer units require wide turns. Confirm access route before delivery.
  • Drainage: slight grade away from the trailer is ideal. Avoid low spots where water pools.
  • Service access: pump truck needs to reach the trailer for waste removal. Maintain a clear path.

Power Requirements

Standard trailers (1-8 stall)
30-amp, 110V shore power within 50 feet of trailer placement
Large semi-trailers (16-28 stall)
Multiple 30-amp circuits or 50-amp service. Verify with us during planning.

We provide towable diesel generators sized to your trailer. 20-45 kW with 24+ hour runtime.

Water Supply

City Water Hookup

  • Standard garden hose connection
  • 40-60 PSI recommended
  • Within 100 feet of trailer
  • Continuous supply — no refill needed

Water Box (No Hookup)

  • 660-gallon fresh water supply on towable trailer
  • 12V demand pump with battery backup
  • Standard garden hose connection to shower trailer
  • Daisy-chain multiple units for extended capacity
  • Fill time under 10 minutes

Gray Water Handling

  • All waste water drains into the trailer's onboard holding tank (750-1,800 gallons depending on model)
  • Pump-out on regular service schedule (2-3x/week typical)
  • Waste Box adds 660 gallons of additional holding for high-traffic sites
  • No gray water goes into the ground — fully contained system

Leveling

We level the trailer during setup using built-in leveling jacks. Minor grade variations are handled by our delivery crew. Extreme slopes may require site grading before delivery.

Delivery Access

  • Bumper pull trailers: standard pickup truck delivery. Narrower access is fine.
  • Gooseneck trailers: heavy-duty truck with gooseneck hitch. Standard road access required.
  • Semi-trailers: tractor-trailer access required. Wide turns, no low overpasses.
